Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. His parents are Manny James, and Patty James. His father is Nigerian and his mother caucasian American. He graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he received the Bachelor of Economics degree from Wake Forest University. James became famous when he made his screen debut as an on-screen reality television star during The Bachelorette. James was chosen in the year 2020 for the role of 25th season bachelor of The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The series premiered in 2021. James seemed to be the perfect choice for the role as his height is tall, handsome and well-rounded with a sense humor. The show ended when he decided to choose Rachael Krkconnell to pursue a relationship with the actress. He was paired with the famous dancing star Arnold in 2021 to compete on the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold were ranked 12th.
