Amal Clooney is Amal A. Alamuddin. She was a Lebanese British legal practitioner and human rights activist. An alumni of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her extensive and impressive professional career in the field of human rights and international law has earned her acclaim internationally. Her prominent clients included nations like Armenia, which was fighting for recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Turkey. Amal Clooney engaged American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014, and instantly became a household-name in popular media. Years earlier, Amal Clooney was well-known for her ability to successfully represent her clients in court and earned a good name. She has a wide range of work, that ranges from the issue of social justice as well as issues related to human rights through to representing multinational corporations at court and in negotiations regarding government regulation. Since 2015 she served as a barrister at British court in Doughty Street Chambers.
