Matthew Matt James was born in North Carolina on December 5 1991. His parents are Manny James and Patty James. He has an Nigerian mother as well as an American caucasian father. James graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he received his Bachelor of Economics at Wake Forest University. James was a household name when he made his screen debut on the reality show star in The Bachelorette. James was selected in the year 2020 to be the next bachelor in The Bachelor season 25, making him the first African American male star. The show debuted later in that year. James seemed to be the perfect choice for the job as the man is beautiful, tall and round and has a sense of humor. Rachael Krkconnell was picked to be his partner for this season. In 2021, he joined forces with well-known dancer Arnold to compete in season 30 of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold were ranked 12th.
